Our Approach

The WedPro Way

A wedding film done right is one of the most emotionally powerful objects a family can own. It returns you to the day — not just visually, but through sound, motion, and feeling. A good wedding film captures the priest's Sanskrit chants echoing through a mandap, the collective gasp when the couple first sees each other, the laughter that erupts when someone trips during the baraat. These are the things photography cannot preserve. At WedPro, we produce wedding films with the rigour and craft of independent cinema. Every project has a narrative arc, a considered sound design, and a colour palette that reflects the mood and setting of your celebration. We approach your wedding film the way a documentary filmmaker approaches a great story — with patience, precision, and a genuine belief that what we are witnessing matters.

Our cinematographers shoot exclusively on professional cinema cameras: the Sony FX6 and FX3 for mobility and speed, the Blackmagic Pocket Cinema Camera 6K for controlled interior sequences, and the Sony A7S III for extreme low-light conditions. These tools produce footage with the shallow depth-of-field, cinematic dynamic range, and natural colour rendition that distinguishes a true cinematic wedding film from the compressed, over-sharpened footage produced by consumer cameras. We pair these bodies with Sigma Art prime lenses — the 35mm, 50mm, and 85mm specifically — that produce the soft, creamy background separation characteristic of the best wedding cinema. Gimbals, sliders, and fluid-head tripods complete our motion toolkit, enabling the smooth, flowing camera movements that give our films their distinctive feel.

Audio capture is the aspect of wedding film production that most videographers underestimate. A beautiful picture with poor audio creates a film that feels hollow. At WedPro, we use a dual-system sound approach: a primary audio feed from a dedicated audio recorder with professional condenser microphones, combined with discreet lapel microphones fitted to the groom and the officiant before the ceremony begins. This means we capture the exchange of vows in crystal clarity, the priest's intonations in their full resonance, and the ambient sound of the mandap in its natural acoustic space. For receptions, our team captures speeches, toasts, and the general ambience of the room from multiple positions to ensure complete coverage regardless of where sound events happen.

Drone cinematography adds a dimension to wedding films that no ground-level camera can replicate. From the air, a baraat procession of five hundred people snaking through a heritage property becomes a genuinely breathtaking spectacle. A lakeside ceremony at Udaipur, an outdoor reception in a Mehrauli farmhouse, a first entry at a rooftop Delhi venue — all gain a sense of scale and grandeur from above that changes the emotional impact of the film entirely. We operate DJI Mavic 3 Pro drones, flown by our certified pilots who are experienced at working within the operational constraints of event venues. For venues where drone permits are required, we handle the application process well in advance of your wedding date. All aerial footage is integrated into both film deliverables at no additional editing cost.

The highlight film is the product that most couples share, rewatch, and treasure most deeply. At 5 to 8 minutes in length, it is structured as a cinematic short — beginning with the quiet morning of getting-ready, building through the ceremony, and releasing through the joy of the reception. Music selection is the soul of the highlight film. During your creative briefing, we explore music preferences together — genre, tempo, emotional tone — and work to find either a licensed version of a track you love or a piece from our curated catalogue of premium royalty-free music that carries the same feeling. The music we use is properly licensed and cleared for personal use, sharing on social media, and long-term storage. You will never receive a takedown notice on your wedding film.

The full documentary edit runs 40 to 90 minutes and represents the complete visual archive of your wedding. Every ceremony from beginning to end is captured in sequence, with all speeches preserved, all rituals documented, and all the quiet in-between moments included. The full edit is not a highlights reel — it is the entire film. Parents who could not attend, family members who watched from a distance, children who will one day want to understand what their parents' wedding was like — the full edit is for all of them. It is the document, and it matters as much as the highlight film, differently.

Colour grading is where raw footage is transformed into a finished film with a distinctive visual identity. Our colourists use DaVinci Resolve Studio — the industry-standard colour grading platform — to apply custom LUTs (Look Up Tables) developed in-house over years of shooting at Indian wedding venues. Our signature look is warm and luminous without being artificially orange, with deep shadows that retain detail and highlights that never clip. Skin tones across all complexions are rendered naturally and beautifully. Each wedding film is graded individually, not as a batch — the colour work for a winter morning ceremony in a heritage Lutyens property will be different from that for a summer evening reception in a modern South Delhi ballroom.

Music licensing is a topic that deserves honest discussion. Many wedding videographers use copyrighted commercial music in wedding films without proper licensing, leaving couples with films that are muted on YouTube, blocked on Instagram, or subject to copyright strikes. At WedPro, we work exclusively with properly licensed music. For couples who have a specific song in mind — a Bollywood track, a Western pop song, a classical piece — we source the appropriate synchronisation license before including it in your film. Where licensing a specific commercial track is not possible, we work with our curated catalogue of premium licensed music to find an alternative that carries the same emotional weight. You receive clear documentation of every music license with your final deliverables.

Delivery formats are designed to work across every screen and platform your film will ever play on. Your final films are delivered in four formats: a full-resolution 4K master file for long-term archiving on external hard drives, a 1080p streaming version optimised for private online viewing, a YouTube-ready format at the appropriate bitrate for upload without quality loss, and a WhatsApp-shareable compressed version of the highlight film for immediate family sharing. All formats are delivered via our private file delivery portal with permanent download access. We also deliver a physical backup copy on a branded USB drive for couples who prefer tangible archiving.

The coordination between our photography and film teams on the wedding day is seamless because we have developed it over years of working together. Both teams follow a shared coverage plan, communicate via earpieces throughout the day, and have agreed positioning for every key moment so that neither crew is ever in the other's frame. Photo-and-film combination packages are our most popular offering, and the results consistently exceed what either medium can produce independently. When the same creative sensibility governs both the still images and the moving footage, the final collection has a cohesion and a depth that tells a richer story than either could tell alone.

How We Work

Our Process

01

Creative Briefing

We discuss your preferred film style, music mood, key moments, and the emotional tone you want the film to carry. We share reference films and align on a clear creative direction before production begins.

02

Production Planning

Our team maps every ceremony to specific camera positions, lighting setups, and audio recording strategies. For multi-day weddings, we create a detailed production schedule and crew briefing document.

03

Multi-Camera Filming

Multiple cinema cameras cover your wedding from different angles simultaneously. Our team captures both the grand moments and the quiet in-between — the texture and truth of your day.

04

Post-Production & Delivery

Editing, colour grading, sound design, and music licensing take approximately 8 to 10 weeks. You receive both the highlight film and full edit in high-resolution formats, delivered digitally for unlimited downloads.

Common Questions

Frequently Asked

The highlight film is a 5 to 8 minute cinematic edit of the best moments from your wedding, set to music and crafted for emotional impact — this is the film you share with friends and watch on anniversaries. The full edit is a 40 to 90 minute complete documentation of every ceremony from start to finish, preserving every speech, ritual, and detail in sequence.
